Press Release: Pulse Of The Nation Radio Show on KNR Set To Reinvent Itself

The Pulse of the Nation radio show on Keith Ngesi Radio(KNR) has revamped its offering and is now set to be an Arts and Entertainment current affairs talk show, every Sunday mornings at 8:00am to 9:00am (CAT) www.keithngesiradio.com hosted by current producer Sibusiso Mnyanda.

The show was previously hosted by Mel Malambile, who has now kick-started a new show in the same station. Speaking to Mnyanda, he noted that : "This is a great opportunity to have an engagement around arts and entertainment, which is essentially a pulse that runs through this nations people. We aim to deliver a show that gives you the listener a chance to be current with the rhythm and beat of Africa."

The first broadcast of the reinvented show in August 2018 is themed- Teaching and Healing with the arts: ‘’Developing and healing Africa through the performing arts’’. A look at the several artists from the Eastern Cape who were performing or producing works at the recently ended National Arts Festival Makhanda, focusing on the power of their work in the process of inculcating a cultural elements of human interaction to engage the developmental agenda of society. We interview artists within theater, music and visual arts as a way of invoking and invite thought leaders in the field and provoke paradigm shifting outlooks from and for the South African citizen. Siya Makuzeni, Sakhile Moleshe and Dineo Pule (Indwe) are some of the artists we engaged with in the recent festival. We also speak to a few film makers from the recently adjourned Durban International Film Festival(DIFF), who have prospect of films from the Eastern Cape being funded from engagement the FilmMart component of festival unearthed.

There are a few more changes to the show, with a resident entertaunment analyst being added to the 60 minute morning talk show.
