It was another night filled with laughter, ideas, new friends and acquaintances. The Dutch Consul General Bonnie Horbach again invited a young group of highly talented artists to her private residence in Higgovale, to dine with world renowned writer/publisher and poet Antjie krog and the equally celebrated opera performer Marlene le Roux, who now directs the Artscape in Cape Town.

 

This a one of numerous dinners of its kind and this was no different  in as far as the amazing energy and intelligence oozing out of the #ChangeMakers present.  The dinners are centered around development in the form of the #CoCreateSA initiative which looks to create a platform for knowledge exchange where, through the perspective of design/creativity as an agent of change, we can lay the groundwork for long-term solutions.

 

Some of the artists present were speaker and author Vangile Makwakwa, multicultural artist Athi-Patra Ruga, hip hop artist Daniel "Rimestein" Swartz and actress Manini Mokhothu.
