Izizathu & Side B

Izizathu / Side B is a result of a 3 month residency by our visiting artists Buntu Fihla (SA) and Amani Abeid (TZ). The exhibition also features a collaboration between the two artists and Eastern Cape based poets "Izithunywa Zohlanga" as a celebration of their ground breaking 2006 album "Iingqondi Zenkcubeko" . This collaboration comes in a form of transcripts and drawings as well as a reading by Luyolo (Mthwa)Lenga & Pumelele (Pura ,Myalezo) Lavisa who are members of the group.
