7th October 2017 marks the day the POTN with Mel Malambile on KNR online radio talk show went live powered by Keith Ngesi Radio and produced by The Moon Rises Productions.

Like any other fisrt time exercise, the team was a little slow off the blocks, but once they got going it was smooth sailing. The show had the Nelson Mandela Institute for Education and Rural Development's' (NMIRED) linguistic practitioner, Cebo Solombela in conversation with the host Mel, chewing the fat about the institute's programmes in schools and communities in the rural old Transkei region, Eastern Cape .

The institute run a number of programs that facilitate alternative pedagogic methods at foundation and intermediate phase. Namely the Magic Classroom Collective, Phemba Mfundi and most recently the Bizana Literacy week(August 2017), which was born from the Bizana school based Phemba Mfundi. The show also had the pleasure of launching the first ever NMI Reading Clubs' childrens' short stories live on air. This will be a weekly feature on the show.

The show is an informative Saturday morning social agency-based talk and analytic show. As our nation is a fast moving and vibrant one, a cutting-edge thought leadership broadcast that keeps the listener in tune and in rhythm with the current and looming affairs is what you can expect. From education, politics, the economy, religion, the Arts and entrepreneurship & youth development, we put our finger on the pulse. Hosted by social work activist and academic Melissa Luyanda Malambile @MelissaMalambile Co-Hosted by historian, broadcaster and writer Sibusiso Mnyanda @SibusisoMnyanda .

In the first month month of broadcast we will focus on education and alternative pedagogic methods being implemented by education activists and educators in the Eastern Cape province, as it is a red zone when it comes to illiteracy levels especially within the old and female demographic categories.
